And the impact this type of administration has on the Stock Market?

S&P Performance during Presidential Administrations

Democrats since 1945 +10.7%

Republicans since 1945 +7.6%

Democrats since 1929 +10.1%

Republicans since 1929 +3.8%

All since 1929 +7.2%

All since 1945 +9.1%

Strangely, gains in the third year of a term average about 14% while gains in first, second, and fourth years average about half that.

DACC Mission Statement

The Democratic Action Club of Chico was chartered in 1997 to raise the visibility and activity of Democrats in Northern California, to create unity and purpose among the existing Democratic clubs and committees in the often neglected rural counties, and is dedicated to the idea that "Good people with good ideas can make a difference."

DACC Profile

A small but growing group of Democrats who believe that turning the California rural counties from primarily Republican control back to their former Democratic prominence is possible.  The "Action" in our name denotes year round activities that promote our goals, ranging from local rallies and voter registration to combining with 20 or more other counties in block votes to influence decisions made by the State Democratic Party.

The group is dedicated to extensive outreach to other counties, as well as to the diverse minority populations within our region. DACC acts as a facilitator in these goals.  We present monthly programs that address local concerns and hold monthly meetings from 7:00 -- 9:00 on the third Thursday of each month.  Members are provided minutes of the last meeting and an agenda of business to be put before the group. The public is invited to enjoy our programs with us.
